Blessings Galore!!!!

Sorry for the lack of updates. The husband and I (mainly the husband) have been busy getting the new office and nursery ready. Since the old office is being converted to the nursery, my computer accessibility at home was limited and work is keeping my busy enough. Thank goodness for a lunch break!

Anyway, back to the point of my post. We have been so blessed by family and friends in preparing for Audrey's entrance into this world. I have had 3 showers so far. 1 from my wonderful church family, 1 from my work and 1 from several close friends. I'll post pictures soon. Actually, I have pictures form the work shower, but will have to post pictures from the others later. All of the showers were so wonderful and again I am amazed at how generous everyone has been. Not just in the gift giving either, but in the time that people have taken to prepare for the showers and then come to the showers. I know everyone is so busy, myself included, so it meant so much to see familiar faces at each of the showers. Thank you will never be able to express how I blessed I feel.
Please enjoy some pictures from my work shower last week!
Great Cake! Totally responsible for raising my blood sugar levels, but worth it!
More food, better, low sugar/carb choices!

The Loot!

I'll post pictures from my other shower soon!

3 lbs. & 9 oz.

That's right! The sonogram today revealed that little Audrey weighs 3 1/2 lbs give or take a couple of oz. (That would probably explain why I am having some pressure in my lower abdomen.) She is also head down and seems to be quite comfortable. We had to hook me up to the heart monitor since I am past 30 weeks, but she was sleeping so the nurse said: No problem, I'll just wake her up real quick! Most moms would have probably questioned as to how she was going to wake her up, but not me. I just said "Sure...go ahead"! So she comes back in with a mini cattle prod looking thing (first clue!) and stuck it to my arm and said this won't hurt, it's just a vibration. Didn't hurt me so she put it to my stomach and turned it on! I wish I could have recorded Audrey's reaction to the vibration. She jumped so high and then proceeded to kick me 10-12 times. I had never laughed so hard in my life! I think my husband and I were the only ones who thought it was funny. I know Audrey wasn't a fan! She takes after me and likes to sleep until SHE is ready to wake up.
Anyway, during the sonogram the doctor re-checked everything and all looks good. As long as I stick to my diet and exercise plan we should have about an 8 lb little baby. I really do love sonogram days!

Nothing Much

I have been a blog slacker! I have been incredibly busy, I just haven't taken the time to blog about it. We are in for a busy month of June. I have a few baby showers and the childbirth classes so pretty much every weekend in June has something going on.
The countdown is on for us. Next week I very well could have a date for Miss Audrey's birthday. We are so excited and can't wait to meet her!

I have another level 2 sono tomorrow to see how much she weighs now. A level 2 sono takes forever! Seriously, they are about 45-60 minutes! They check all body parts to get the weight within 2-3 ounces! I asked how accurate the weight was last time we were there and she said she always gets the weight within 3 ounces either way. Pretty good in my opinion.
I can't wait to see her on the screen! I just love sono days!

She is moving around alot now and I love that too! She doesn't cause me any discomfort, which I hear is rare with some women. I love seeing her move too! It's so weird to watch an elbow or a knee go sliding across. Last night I pushed her knee or elbow out of the way and she rolled over as if to see what had caused HER to be moved and then she pushed back! It was so sweet! I could have pushed on her all night long just to see her reaction to being moved.

Well anyway, that's all I've got for now. I'll try and be better about blogging in the future!
Later!
