Born yesterday at 3:29, weighing 7 lbs. 8 oz and 19 1/4 inches long. I had to have an emergency (semi emergency) c-section due to high blood pressure for me. We are all doing great and so thankful to God for allowing B and I to experience this time with Audrey! I'll post more later on all that has gone through my mind in the past 48 hours, but in the meantime enjoy some pictures!

Practice Run 1......and 2
So yesterday was an eventful day. Very busy at work (too busy) and went through the majority of the morning before I realized I had not felt Audrey move. Not the norm for Audrey at all. So I call my doctor and she says to drink some orange juice. (Thanks L for getting this for me!). I down 2 cups of OJ and still nothing! So off to labor & delivery I went. A few hours, plenty of movements/heartbeat and CONTRACTIONS later I was sent home. Nothing major, no worries, all was good.
I had a doctor appointment today that has ended with me being admitted for an overnight stay in the hospital and if all is good continued bed rest for a few more days. If not, we get baby sooner! I'm not sure how I feel at this point. Everything has been a whirlwind the past 24 hours. On one hand, I'm ready for her to be here. On the other, I know it would be good for her to "bake" a few more days. I'm trying to be patient, but I am not looking forward to bed rest (at home or at the hospital!).
Anyway, that's all the exciting news so far. I'll post more soon!

Where did this come from???
A few people who read my blog have asked where the bedding came from. So here it is:
Pottery Barn! Everything except the furniture, the glitter wall hangings by the window (Babies R Us) and the letters on the wall (Hobby Lobby) came from Pottery Barn, even the bedding on the twin bed in the room came from Pottery Barn. The paint is a Pottery Barn paint that we bought at Elliot's Hardware stores (Pear Green is the color). I saw a picture in the PB magazine and knew it was exactly what I wanted. I wasn't a huge fan of a lot of pink ( I am fine with accents in pink) so purple was the best thing for me and B agreed with the color choices. It is pretty decently priced as well. I think everything was under $500-$600. I can't remember b/c my in laws bought the crib bedding and B and I bought the twin bedding. The furniture came from Babies R Us (thank you again mom and dad), but it is on back order for several months. We are still waiting on the conversion pieces that won't be in until September. Good thing she won't need them for a while. So there you have it. The whole scoop on her bedroom decor. Also, the canvas bags I want for her toys and books are from Pottery Barn as well, I just haven't gone up to get them!

The almost finished room!
So everything is pretty much complete with the exception of a few decorative pieces here and there. I need to buy a couple of canvas totes for her books and toys and a few more frames for the pictures to hang on the wall and that is about it. We have everything else put away. All we need is her! We still have some work to do getting the other house projects done, but hopefully that will be completed by this weekend! If not, oh well. Enjoy the pictures!
Here is the view when you walk into the door.
Here is the view with you back to the crib:
Facing the windows:
The night stand (I see that piggy bank breaking the moment she learns to walk!)
Here is the view of the crib bedding (I still love it!)

Getting Ready
Today is a busy day for us. We have a wonderful guy who textures walls and ceilings and he is here right now texturing our front room, which will be the new office, the foyer and the nursery! I am so excited that he is here. That just means we are one step closer to completing the nursery and getting the house back in order. We have stuff scattered everywhere because all the rooms had to be cleared out so that the ceilings could be scraped (thank you sweet hubby) and then so Steve could come and texture them. If anyone needs a great guy who textures, we have someone for you!
Anyway, I plan on posting more often and with pictures. We have done so much in the past month or two, but I have been very busy with work and just haven't had the time. After this week things should slow down at work and I can begin to relax and get ready for little Audrey's arrival. Speaking of Audrey, things are going well. She doesn't have much room to move which is a blessing and a frustration. She used to move so much which would get tiresome, but now that she has stopped it's a little concerning. She usually waits until I am ready to call my doctor in near panic and she'll give me a kick or 2 just to calm me down. We have our last sonogram Tuesday to measure her weight. I'll try and get a good picture of her from the sonogramist (might not be an actual word) and post it to the blog.
That's all for now! I'll post more later.

Happy 4th Everybody!
I caved on the fireworks display. I was out there for a little bit, but was getting eaten alive by bugs. I can barely see my feet, let alone reach down to scratch at a bug bite! I have made a lot of progress on my thank you cards for baby showers I have had. Tomorrow I will mail out the ones I finished today. Whew.... what a relief! I also started washing Audrey's clothes and towels and blankets. Now (or by tomorrow) everything will be washed and ready to go! This little girl has so many outfits! I'm not even sure she will be able to wear them all! We have been so blessed.
I took a friends advice and changed the arrival date on our baby registry to display 07/03/08 so that we could get the coupon earlier to finish buying Audrey's items at a discount rate. Mainly the travel system. (Why don't they just give the coupon to you before the arrival date?) We actually got 95% of the items we registered for. That's pretty good! I can't complain.
The date is getting closer until we get to meet little Audrey! I can wait, but at the same time I can't. I know...makes no sense! I am not uncomfortable at this stage (except swollen feet/ankles) and I feel really fortunate. So many of my pregnant friends/co-workers are really having a difficult time of it. I'm thankful it isn't so bad!
I have to take a moment to brag on my husband and father-in-law. They spent the majority of the day replacing my fuel pump in my car. 2 weeks ago at Wal-Mart we got stranded (almost) and my hubby thought we had water in the gas tank. No big deal he said, we made it tot the gas station, put 91 octane and figured we would be fine. Not so much. After having it looked at by a great mechanic, we discovered that it was in desperate need of a new fuel pump. We plan on trading my car in at the end of the year for a more family friendly sedan, so we chose the cheapest option of fixing the car ourselves. Apparently the fuel pump has been struggling for a while b/c it now runs like a dream! It has so much more get up and go then before! So a huge shout out to my husband and father- in -law. Oh, my brother-in-law too b/c he loaned us his jack and two stands. Wouldn't have been able to fix the car without those!
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July!!
